The Gold Coast Film Festival brings diverse Australian and International films, filmmakers and film events to the Gold Coast.
The 13-day long festival reinforces the Gold Coast’s position as one of Australia’s leading filmmaking destinations, by promoting emerging Australian filmmakers and creating educational and professional development opportunities for film industry practitioners.
This year the film festival will screen approximately 40 feature films, 125 shorts, host 12+ industry panels and 10+ filmmaker Q&As and bring film to life through a dozen special film events that run across the Gold Coast.
A wide array of venues will host the festival in 2018, including Home of The Arts, Coolangatta Cinema Complex, Surfers Paradise Beach, QT Gold Coast, Bond University, Burleigh Brewing, Kirra and Coolangatta.
Some of the highlights of the Gold Coast Film Festival include:
Saturday 28 April: Open from 5pm, Film 6pm. Burleigh Brewing Co, 2 Ern Harley Dr, Burleigh Heads will screen “Fight Club”.
Sunday 22 April: SIPFest, otherwise known as the Shorts in Paradise Festival, is an annual showcase of the best short films from across Australia. It transforms Surfers Paradise beach into a vibrant and unique cinema, delivering a unique outdoor film experience.
REELLIFE panels are designed for screen industry professionals to extend their knowledge and networks. Whether you are a film, TV or gaming practitioner, film student or even a film fan curious about filmmaking.
