This event is the ultimate test for surf sport athletes and will push them to their limit. There are events for individual ironmen and ironwomen from under 19 to 50+ or teams.
There is also a Youth Challenge event for under 11’s to under 16’s who are up for a challenge and keen to be part of the main event experience. The course consists of a 300m soft sand run, a 400m swim, 400m run, 500m board and then a 50m run to conclude at the elite finish arch.
Burleigh Heads Beach is a transition point for the long course event with the paddle board event ending and the swim leg starting and finishing in the sparkling waters off Burleigh Heads. It is the ideal spot to watch some of these incredible athletes compete.
